Stare in amazement as you see an update to this dormant site. But then again, the only reason I'm here posting is cause my exam starts tomorrow and I need every excuse I can to not study cause I'm lazy, but that's not the point.

Oh why?

So like, in less than a month, I'll be heading off back to Brunei, my sanctuary, my haven. <emo> It'll finally be nice to head back after a year here, sort of. It'll be nice to have, many, things, again. *CoughINTERNETHOMGZANDACTUALREALFOODCough*

Tell me why?

But yes, here lies the final stretch of exams spanning around 3 weeks or so, which will determine my future here in Melbourne. Pretty important, so really should be studying right now.

Curse me inside.

Time sure felt as though it went by just like that. Time is overrated. There's not enough of it for us. But that's just how it is.

I can't dream yet another dream.

As you can see, there's a bunch of random lines in between posts. They're just lines from some random song that's currently playing on my Winamp, and in my attempt to make this post seem lengthy, I randomly add lines in to elongate my post.

There's no air.

Maybe you'll be able to guess what song it is, if you actually wanted to. Don't think its that unpopular, but it certainly isn't recent. Won't be talking much about myself (When have I ever), so you'll make do with whatever has been said. College prom was on Halloween, i.e, 31st of last month. It was, ok.

I won't forget, no I won't.

No matter. Looking forward to going back to Brunei once again. It'll be more interesting to catch up with people in person than through this virtual media, for me anyways. Well, until then, and don't expect an update anytime soon (Not that you do anyways). Exams don't come everyday, so I don't update all that often.

*Exeunt*

Yet Another Weekend II

Forgive me for the lack of originality in the wordings of this post's title, for I am not really bothered and hence place little heed to it. In any case, its been almost a month, close to anyways, since the last post, so here I am, once again.

As you may or may not know(most probably not), second term exam's just finished yesterday, for me anyways, drawing term 2 to a fitful end. Its been a long, long term, and yet, time still seems to just fly by. A few more days and it'll be July, few more months, the next term. Guess its not all that bad. Probably just means the day I get to return home is coming quicker than I'd thought it'd be.

But anyways, theres a two-week break right now for just about everyone in the college, and quite a number are returning to their home-countries and such. I'm not as privileged as them, but oh well, I'll live. Mom's coming over in the second week of July, so thats something to look forward to, I would say. Spent the remaining of yesterday over at a friend's place, until about, 6? (in the morning - exams finished around 3pm) So, you do the math. Its currently winter season now, and though it doesn't snow, it does get dark rather early. When its around 5pm, the skies are pretty much all dark and pitch black by 6. So, less light, not bright. Walking home at 6 in the morning ain't exactly the most pleasurable thing to be doing, but at least its safer compared to walking at around 12-3am, since well, even muggers need sleep. But lets not go there.

Hopefully exams weren't too bad. Did make some mistakes that were just careless in a few papers, but whats done is done. In any case, thats about it from me for now. Look forward to the next update, whenever it may be. Good day.

Yet another weekend

Ho ho, it is Saturday, the day after Friday, the day I get to sleep late the previous night and still wake up late tomorrow without a worry for there is no school. The little things in life matter (when college work piles up). Its been what, 2 months or so? Site is neglected, I know. And I know I've mentioned I *might* upload *some* pictures in my last post, but basically I don't have much of any real pictures to upload anyways, so oh well.

The days have been pretty much a routine. Day in day out, the weeks go by relatively quick. But the workload just gets more and more. Just recently completed my first real essay here, after a whole month of research - or at least, you're given one month, how you come about doing it is another story. Australian education system is..interesting. Copyright actually matters here, and no longer can you copy and paste information from Wikipedia and hope to score. Anyways, on the same day this first essay was due, a second essay assignment came up. They really don't give you breaks. Its all pretty fast paced, and you'll just fall behind if you fail to catch up with all the work.

With the exams lurking around the corner, well, in 3 weeks or so anyways, I'll probably not be blogging for quite some time until then, not that i actually blog often anyways, but thats not the point. Then theres holidays after that, but I won't be going back to Brunei this time around. It'll most probably be in December before I get to go back. Wonder how much it would've changed by the time i do go back. Should be fun.

In any case, I'll just keep this short for now. Its currently autumn now, pretty soothing. It gets rather cold on certain days, especially mornings, but its really nice to see the leaves turn brown and get carried off by the winds. The views in the parks are nice as well, clean and tranquil. Gives you this sense of peace to it, life away from everyday's worries. Well, enough philosophical contemplations. Time to take my leave. Until the next post.

Its about time

Well now, feels like a while since I've last blogged. Realistically, it HAS been a while, but no matter. For those who are unaware, I am currently no longer in Brunei, but in Melbourne, Australia. Today marks the end of my first term of studies, and I've just returned from my last paper, Physics. College life is rather new I suppose, compared to how life was back then in SAS. Even if its not new, its still very much different. But thats not a bad thing I guess.

So like, studies are so so. Past few weeks had been normal. Lessons and such, normal welfare. Since I'm living alone now, theres plenty to take care of, and new responsibilities arises as such. You've gotta cook and clean and pay rent and etc all on your own now. But you get used to it, eventually. Currently I'm staying at some student hostel called College Square on Lygon Street. Takes about 10-15 mins walk to reach college from here mostly, depending on where your classes are situated. The campus is huge, and it can take you quite some time to get from one end to the other, and your classes are usually situated all over the place.

As for studies, now I'm taking Maths 1, Maths 2 and Physics as my optional subs, which is the common subs people take if they intend to further their studies in Enginnering. As of the moment, I got no idea what I intend to take in Uni, but I'll just go along with these for now. Theres still time to decide what to do when the time comes. Other subs that are compulsory are Literature, English for Academic Purposes, History of Ideas and Drama. Literature is just literature, you learn..literature. English for Academic Purposes is basically Grammar and all that stuff. History of Ideas, you study on all the *ideas* the Westerners came up with in the past and how they came to be, how its used in our daily lives today and so on. Quite interesting really, but its really in depth and you really need to think a lot. Drama is well, everyone knows what drama is (I think). You basically, act and all. This term we had to do a solo mime in front of the class. It was...interesting, to say the least.

Overall everythings been good. The weather is, very, volatile. One day it could be scorching hot, the next, freezing cold. Yesterday was the coldest by far since I've got here, and it was raining as well. Had to walk all the way to my examination hall from my place in the rain. Even with an umbrella, it didn't feel like it was of any use. You still get wet and really cold. You can feel those white puffs of smoke coming out of your mouth when you breathe, which is rather amusing, since you don't see that much where I come from. Too bad it doesn't snow here. Oh well.

Right now I've got around 2 weeks of holidays since its the end of term 1. So I'll have to find something to keep myself occupied as such. Will probably update more sometime soon if I feel like it. Maybe one day I'll upload pictures.. maybe

Sick of Everything

You know what? Yes we know, this site is relatively dead, but perhaps even that itself would be an understatement. I doubt 95% of the people who actually used to visit this site actually come by here anymore. But no matter. I shall attempt to rejuvenate this site with some short notes of my own.

Basically, over the past few months since the last update, life's been rather, normal? Well, ain't much else to expect, having finished my secondary education and all. All that free time during holiday was spent carelessly and inefficiently. But what to do. Sometimes in life you'd never really realize how important or how much something means to you till it whacks you in the face. Sounds rather cliche but who's bothering. Well part of the reason I mentioned that would be cause, after one more day (From this current hour) I would be departing Brunei for good, for at least, until perhaps the next holiday or so. Which means, leaving some things behind, leaving people behind and starting a new life. Guess I knew this day would eventually come, but now that's its here, everything seems kinda fast. Never really felt I'd had the chance to properly bid farewell to everyone, let alone start living by myself. Hopefully once I get there, at least I'll be able to set up a decent internet connection so I can keep in touch with everyone. Will probably update more when I get there.

Oh yes, thanks to everyone who wished me for my birthday yesterday. And to those who actually bothered to get me something, you have my thanks. I shall treasure them and bring them along with me to Melbourne. I'd never really expected to get anything from anyone, so it was a nice surprise. But yes, enough about that. Until next time.

Migration to a new school

Hey guys, I'm sorry if I haven't been blogging for a long long long time. I know I mentioned that I won't be blogging forever in a previous post. You know, I kind of feel bad that I left the responsibility of blogging. And a few of you guys actually want me to resume blogging. It's kind of strange... but okay, might as well give it a shot, right? I guess it doesn't hurt. And I have left you guys in the dark for a long time. Personal reasons. I'm sorry.

I guess I'm back.

Hello, everyone!

In the meantime, I'm too tired to blog properly now. Ugh~

By the way, for those who are curious, here's a preview of IB. Note that my super-thick Maths textbook isn't in the picture. I am also yet to receive some more textbooks and notes, notes, notes!

I'm not doing A-Levels? Why, Shim, why?! I thought you're going to do A-Levels with us! #@$%#^ Yeah, I thought that too, initially. But when some ISB staff came over to SAS to give a briefing about it, I was so intrigued by the course. I wasn't there since I was at LNG, but Kim filled me in. It sounded really interesting compared to A-Levels, when you only do 3 A-Levels, and that's it.

In IB, I get to write an Extended Essay on any topic related to my subjects. And then there's the compulsory CAS which is lucrative for uni applications. Then there's the philosophical Theory of Knowledge class. Last class, we were discussing about the Happiness machine, and the benefits and disadvantages of perpetual happiness; classification and racism. And about the truth. What is truth? Is it just a perception? Is there such a thing as a universal truth? I got a headache from that class, but I find it highly intriguing. I would like to work on my thinking skills. Sure, I think a lot, but I don't do that kind of thinking, lol!

And then, I get to do languages! Woot! I wish I do not need to do Malay again because like everyone else, I'm quite fed up of learning it since kindy! At least Malay is much more interesting now. We're actually studying novels. And the novel we're doing now, Tuan Gatsby (a translated American novel) isn't so bad. It's very different from O Level Malay. It's a relief from learning all those silly tatabahasa, peribahasa (crappiness!) etc. And no more Bahasa Klasik lolol! I think...

We're doing more novels for English too! Wheeee! I finally found a reason to re-read books thoroughly. Yes, people, I don't usually re-read books I have read. :\

And I get to do 2 more of my favourite subjects. Biology and Geography FTW! These are a big headache man, and I have no idea why I am so drawn to these "intensive" subjects since young. It is an enriching experience to advance my knowledge in these subjects. I wouldn't do that normally, but I finally found a reason to do it, i.e. forced to do it. Lol.

Then there's Chemistry. I'll probably need it as I might be doing a Bio-related major next time. Not too sure yet. Surprising, it's more interesting than the O Level Chemistry! But what a headache lah. It's kind of difficult to grasp some concepts (electron energy levels, anyone?), since I hadn't read the first few chapters. Surprisingly, I only have some difficulties in catching up. That's good news I guess.

Don't get me started on Maths! :O I'm only doing it because it's part of IB. That's the downside of IB...

In A-Levels, well, I only get to do 4 to 3 subjects. Which kind of sucks because I kind of enjoy doing a variety of subjects. I'm not too keen on specialisation yet...

OMG, DO I SOUND LIKE A NERD TALKING LIKE THAT?

As you guys know now, I'm doing the IB at ISB. I'm currently reading HL Biology, HL Chemistry, HL Geography, SL English, SL Malay and SL Maths. Groans! Thank goodness for weekends. Yayy! At least I can relax kaliah.

What do I think of IB for now? Well, it has been a really tiring fortnight. I'm actually lacking sleep. T.T Homework isn't a lot for now, but man, they seem quite stressful leh even so. I'm expected to do some reading on my own time during December. Sigh... There goes my Christmas holidays.

Classes are pretty interesting. The teachers here are really cool! And so are the people! I've met many new and interesting people here. And they are friendlier, more outgoing and more gregarious than SAS-ians. It's a very big change from SAS. About everything. I had culture shock for the first few days as I try to adjust to this mini-America. I finally embraced it, and I enjoyed every moment of it. :)

More to come soon. Please check back soon.

P.S. This is a miracle. Come back tomorrow and you see this GONE FOREVER! MWAHHAHAHA!!!

The O's is, the Over

Well after a whole grueling month, I suppose, the G.C.E O-Level Papers have finally come to a close, at least for us Science stream anyways. So, after a long period of being *away*, not that it would make a difference here since this place is hardly updated anyways, it feels nice to finally come online and talk to people again.

So now comes the time where everyone celebrates and stuff, have fun and all. But somehow life is just gonna go back to the way it was. Everything seems like one big routine repeating itself. But don't let me bore you with my philosophical thoughts. What else can you expect from a half-awake man at around 2AM in the morning. Only God knows why I'm still here.

But anyways, schedule for next few weeks seem kinda tight. Gotta head over to the bank and some agents tomorrow to sort out some paperwork and stuff, then at night theres this party over at a classmate's house. Will probably go and see everyone for a last time or so. Then Saturday gotta go school and help out some stuff. Then theres the Econs fair, Speech Day Rehearsal, Speech Day, Prom Night, and the list goes on. Guess I'll at least be occupied throughout the week and not laying around being jobless all the time.

As for what has happened since the last update, its really not much to expect. Monotonous studies, books, the whole shebang. Life basically circulated around these aspects. Though I can't say I'm exactly proud or at the very least satisfied with my performance, what's done is done. Just gotta wait for the results I suppose.

Thinking back, it really is a wonder. The O Levels, the highlight of my whole school life, the one thing which we were put in the school to work towards, the sole purpose why we were put in school, has finally been overcome. It gets you thinking now, where is your life headed? What's gonna happen to you now? So far all my life, the only thing that's ever been a major concern was to just finish school and see what happens. Now, that time is here, and its now. And its really sad, cause I've really got no idea what I want to be or do or study. I don't think its happy-go-lucky, but more towards, I'll do anything that needs to be done. Adapt. Nothings ever the same these days. Well what do I know.

I suppose, that is enough feedback and thoughts from me to last a while, and to make up for the long um, absence. Then again, it still seems rather short when i look at it now, but no matter. Until next time.

Temporal Bliss

Well, for those from school who still visit here, and are probably the only ones, they'd all very well know that our tests/exams had just ended, today, or rather, yesterday, considering the time this is posted. The past few weeks had been spent..abruptly, put simply. Never really found the heart to study fully, and theres always something to keep you from it. Well whatever the case, the days of studying is done with, for now at least. Spent the day out with a few friends in the afternoon. The usuals, nothing much. Just thought it'd be nice to update this place once in a while.

In the evening yesterday, there was supposedly some full lunar eclipse that was supposed to be occuring, where the whole moon blocks out the sun or the sun blocks out the sun, something like that. Forgot which one it was. Mom says this only comes once every 11 years in Brunei, according to the radio's broadcast. Was supposed to have a look, but by the time i remembered and realized it, it was all dark already. Well, probably whoever had a look would've enjoyed it or something i suppose.

Nothing special to speak of at the moment. We're given holidays off till next Monday, which means around 4-5 more days to enjoy before the papers start coming back. Thats that. Will try to update this site more if possible. It feels neglected. But for now, time for bed.

Torrential Downpour

Its raining...and thundering..quite heavily it seems. Yet I'm still online right now, not sure why. Most of everyone else is basically off anyway. Maybe its best not to tempt fate too much. Well anyways, its been at least a month since the last post, and it seems this site needs a desperate update. Well things have been rather busy ever since school began. For me, I'm just relieved that I've finally completed the dreaded computer project. Its not that its hard to do, its just hard to keep up with the teacher's expectations and all I suppose. Well at least thats done with.

With that aside, now a whole new string of activities await us in school. Been staying back almost every school day ever since I can remember. Tomorrow, theres a badminton open competition. Hope we(Jyh Jye and I) don't lose in the first round at least, but who knows. We're playing doubles. In a week's time will be the school Mock Oral Exams, 1st of August or something. Shouldn't be too bad i suppose. Then around 2 weeks from then is the Mock Examinations. Man time sure pasts fast; haven't even prepared for anything yet. Better get started soon.

The year seems to go by rather quickly this time around..but maybe its just me. Anyhow, nothing much to update from my personal life. Stuff happens every now and then, but we get by. Been watching a couple of anime series recently; with some still waiting to be watched. Theres, Fate/Stay Night, Black Cat, Full Metal Alchemist and some random others. They're not bad, except for FMA, haven't watched it yet. Still got it on cd. I still like fate stay night better. Its cool, to me anyways. Don't know how I'm going to find time to watch the rest though.

Well thats about it for now I suppose. The rain's getting heavier so I shall end it here before a bad omen strikes my PC. Good day everyone.

Two days, life changes..for some

June 16, 2007:

In the morning, I had to wake up at around 7 and head to the Ministry of Youth, Culture and Sports to attend a 2-day long session of motivational, moral, mandarin-oriented sort of speech/talk/camp, by some head pro speaker from Taiwan/China, Mr Wong something(it was in Chinese, don't know how to translate) I don't really know why I agreed to attend in the first place; was never one who really fancied such things. But yes, onto the event itself.

Upon arrival, I realized that I was rather late, considering the fact that the place was filled with throngs of students of all ages. There were some familiar faces, some ex-sas, some current sas, lower secs and many more. It was around 8.10-8.20 when I got there, but had to wait for an hour or so till even more people came. At 9, we were finally called in and the event proceeded. We were brought into this large room, all 191 of us(if not wrong), with seats arranged neatly and a stage in front of us. Looked a lot like some formal gathering, and all the staff were dressed in blazers all around; much like a scene from so many movies. On stage was some huge projectile screen, with some slide and stuff in Chinese, so I had no idea what it said. Soon, the preacher or rather, main speaker finally arrived, after some brief introductions by someone whom I think is his manager/agent.

Everything started off fine I suppose. He gave some brief intros, talked about a few topics, asked a few questions, stuff like that. Then he asked us to pick a partner to stick with and perform all of our games and stuff with for the whole two day long session, and it has to be someone you don't know well. So finally I ended up with Julius(I hope thats how you spell his name) from Form 4S1 2007. It didn't really matter to me at first that I chose him; I didn't really care, but at the end of it all I was really glad I did.

Now if I were to elaborate on every single event that occured on the day, I would end up typing for the whole afternoon, so I shall keep it as concise as I possibly can. Throughout the morning, it was mostly talks by the speaker and a few games that were usually played in such occasions so that we can all get to know each other. Nothing too new there. At noon, there was a lunchbreak and everything continued after. From time to time, they would just dim the lights and pump some loud music, and get everyone to start dancing. You'd get scolded if you don't, so everyone had to dance. Apparantly there were some hidden meanings to them, which he furthur elaborated on, which I will not. More games were played, everyone had fun, it was all good. There was also the game where people had to fall on their backs and another person would be behind them to catch them; accidents happened, but yeah. Everything went on till around 7, then we were allowed to leave and go home.

June 17, 2007:

More or less the same schedule, was there in the morning, he gave some talks, stuff like that. A lot of the time it was difficult to fully understand what he was trying to tell us, since my Chinese ain't exactly that great, and I can't read anything that he writes down, so I guess i couldn't fully benefit from it all. But what I could understand, really does help if you really make use of it. The lessons and teachings, they arent't just talk. But of course, many such things have been mentioned before, its just your choice whether you want to accept them.

On that day, we played more different and more serious sort of games and activities. A lot of the games revolved around using your *heart* and *mind* to actually accomplish what you had to do. The way he portrays the games and encourages you on, accompanied by the soft, soothing piano and violin music in the background, gives the sort of atmosphere that all this, actually matters. It requires a calm state of mind to fully comprehend and take in all that has happened there; not something just anyone could do. The teacher hated it whenever someone talks when hes talking, or isn't serious in his activities. Well he just wants the best for us, so I wouldn't blame him. There were also many *emo* moments throughout it all, and it makes you think a lot about everything.

But whatever the case, in the end, it really was worth it to attend this. If only it was in English, I would've probably enjoyed it a lot more. But it was fun all the same. I'd also thank my partner for helping out in all the games and stuff, especially the last activity(not mentioned in this blog) The ending of it all was also rather emo. Many people actually cried out too in front of all the parents and everyone that was there, but I'll just leave it at that. The whole thing ended only at around 9, but I think it took longer. I wouldn't know, cause I left earlier. But yea, overall, it really was a worthwhile experience, and though not the best, its still worth attending. Only requirement is, you need a good command of the Chinese language, or it'll be really difficult to cope with it all. I've learnt a few things here and there; but whether I'll apply them..well..we'll wait and see, won't we. Until next time people.

(Edit) Forgot to add in, Happy Father's Day, for everyone, though its a day late. And also Happy *BaChang* Festival, which is tomorrow I think. Have fun.

Another day goes by

Today marks the beginning of a new ending, the conclusion of the second term after weeks of hectic study life(not really) and other random occasions. After what seems to be a long period of absence, here I am again. 2 weeks of holiday.. Not exactly a lot, but I'll live. Its a much needed time off for most people. Some are flying off, others are going camp, and doing what-nots. I myself am attending some random Chinese-oriented camp/meet sometime next week. Wonder how its gonna be. But yeah, moving on..

Today was spent, doing what has been done many times over. Going cybercafe and spending the whole afternoon there. It never seems to get boring no matter what people say, nor the number of times we go there. Along with a few other friends, it was fun to say the least. In school, we basically just walked around the whole place doing nothing. There really wasn't anything to do, and the teachers weren't even teaching either, so we had the whole day to ourselves. Well it was the last day, its the least they could give us. Had a short cleaning campaign afterwards. Nothing out of the ordinary.

Well, that should be enough to serve as an update for the time being. Oh, and it was Rita's birthday 3 days ago, and I don't think I've wished her, let alone get a gift, hence she shall have the honor of being mentioned on this blog, Happy Belated Birthday! (Even though she probably never visited this place anyway, its still good to post) Until next time people.

How well do you guys know me?

Hey everyone! Well then, lately, as usual, there's frankly nothing much to speak about. That's probably one of the main reasons why no one ever updates here. That, and we're just plain lazy, but thats not the point. So for the few loyal people who actually do still visit here, its good to know, this site will live on, no matter how unfrequent the updates may seem. Though I feel we need a layout change, the masquerade has been here for quite some time. Then again, I don't know nothing about this, so I'll just live with it.

Moving on, life in school has been just, life in school. English class today was rather interesting, and Maths was cruel. Forced to do push ups, but at least I don't suffer alone. Mid term exams are approaching, so I'm supposedly supposed to be studying and revising for it. People say that all the time, doesn't mean they all mean it, let alone do it. Time seems to pass quite quickly these days. Not gonna be long now before the final exam comes along. Perhaps its just me.But until then, its best to just make the best of whatever time is left. Haven't really planned on what I'm gonna do after this year, what courses to take whatsoever. Not even sure whats gonna happen to me yet, but probably gonna fly off to some random place in Australia. We'll see.

Lately, I've been playing badminton more frequent, from time to time. Had another session in school today, just for fun. I guess its all well and good, since it is a sport anyway. Nothing special there. A few days ago, I went along with a friend's car to watch our school team play in the finals against some random sports school. We're supposedly supporters, but the other team had a whole bunch of people supporting them, rather rowdy ones too. Made such a big fuss with each shot their team made. What to do. Our school lost though, but it was still worth the watch. Everyone was good and pro.

Well, I guess that should last for now. Time to go read the newspaper and catch up on some revision. Doubt this would be updated for another few weeks, but just keep checking back for updates anyway! Until then.

Short Note

So like, for the next 3 days, both operators of this site here shall go on a quest to explore new lands across the Malaysian border into the unknown, in this case, the city/town/place, called Labuan. Accompanying us on our journey would be the whole councillor squad, excluding a few, and two brave souls, i.e, two random teachers. But yes, we will embark tomorrow at 3.30pm, or was it 4.00, from the port of Muara, and E.T.A at Labuan port would be 4.45-5.00pm. Wish us luck. Advanced birthday to the great Jason Sim, for his date of birth would be on none other than the dreaded April Fool's Day. That's easy enough, I guess. I'm a naturally weird person, I admit. Everybody knows that anyway. Without much ado, I present some of the weird points I possess.

Rule: "Those who get tagged must post 6 weird things about themselves in their blog and state the rules clearly. At the end of the post, you must choose 6 other people to tag."

You know guys, I'd love to do it but I'm not going do it. :( I think by doing so, it jeopardises my privacy and it exposes my weakness or bring light to my weirdness to everyone. Forget it. Some people just couldn't accept what I wrote (not pinpointing anyone). I had enough of people taking advantage of me.

You may say I snapped. I say I'm less naive now. Freedom of self-expression has to be exercised.

I hope you do know what I mean. If you understand.

That's the very reason why I blog less frequently nowadays. I'm planning to just abandon this blog and leave everything to Steven. What a "wonderful" demise to this blog which birthday is 2 days later...

It existed for 3 years now. So many memories of mine are kept in this blog. They have shaped me into a person I have become today and they carved the pathways of my life. I'm not going to dump them, delete them and forget about them. I don't want to lose my memories... all 259 of them (inclusive this and Steven's...).

Is this goodbye yet? I don't know. You just have to sit back and find out for yourselves. Until then, toodles... And sorry to Kim and Karen for disappointing. :(

Time for an update.!?

Well now, lets see. So like, the first assessment test just ended today. And holidays are starting for all schools in Brunei for around 10 days. But why does this not seem to mean anything? Becaues we're gonna have to go back to school... Very fun. Theres still classes tomorrow..on Friday. Then Saturday. Nowadays, Saturdays are the only days i actually feel like looking forward to, since its the only day i get to actually sleep and wake up late, since there's no school on Sundays. (No lessons that is, the school is still there) SO, its been, school-like, for the past 2 months. Nothing special. Due to my lack of skills in formatiing word documents and also the lack of need to do so, I shall leave this paragraph huge and blocky to make it seem as though i actually blogged a lot when in actual fact im just typing in irrelevant and unnecessary material for the purpose of making it look long, like I am right now. But yes, enough of that. Have a good holiday everyone. Hahahaha, I remember seeing Kael, Isaac and Julius, I think, during the march past... Yeah...

This year's National Day is, in my opinion, pretty much similar to last year's and I was expecting more grandeur (since it's the 23rd National Day and it falls on 23 February - too bad it was celebrated a day later). I believe the performance just now has sufficed; the Sultan applauded and smiled after the end of every segment. :) Well done, guys! :D

The performances are quite colourful with the standard props of fans and pompoms. Watching them performing gives me a tinge of nostalgia as I remembered how I used to be in that last year together with my fellow schoolmates. This year, they also used another prop of which name I do not know. It's something like long pieces of black, white and yellow cloth. Pretty intriguing...

I was wondering what on earth was that piece of white platform standing in the middle of the field and the performers made full use of it - people were even singing on it while a group of students danced to the music.

Now for the "bad". I couldn't make out what patterns were they trying to conceived. All I saw were waves of colours ebbing to the beat of the music and that's it. I think the patterns were supposed to be abstract but then again, I don't think so. Not with the camera which remained stationery in one corner of the field and the bird's eye view camera only activating after each segment has ended...

=\

At the end of the performance, a balloon popped out from a depression in the white platform and it was not as big as I imagined it would be, LOL! :P

Oh yeah, I spotted a few goof-ups by the performers. The most significant one was that someone actually forgot to bring his own props! :O Hahahaha, and he gave a goofy smile to the camera when he realised he was caught red-handed on national TV!

It's a pretty nice performance, but I hope next year's celebration will be more lively and exciting and of course, even better. :)

Spread the Love?~

Well now, its that time again. Every year it comes and goes but does it really matter. Well whatever, only here to blog for a short while, due to the fact that I haven't blogged since..the start of the year? As all might know, today is Valentine's Day. Love is in the air bla bla all that kinda stuff. I'm not gonna bother arguing what valentines really about, so to everyone who celebrated it, may you find what you seek. For those that don't, well, you just don't.

As for myself, the past two months, january has been, free of work, and february has been, well, full of work. Its only been around 2 weeks of school and it feels as though I've been here for months. Well no matter. Life itself has been rather calm as of late, i suppose. Nothing to elaborate there, so for now, enjoy whatevers left of Valentines.

Another Birthday Shoutout

It's Steven's birthday today! You may score high in a category you didnt think you would--it is possible that a great major for you is something you once dismissed as not for you. The right major for you will be something 1) you love and enjoy and 2) are really great at it.

Consider adding a minor or double majoring to make yourself standout and to combine your interests. to go through over it. Yeah, I have been thinking of majoring in Psychology too. Or Biology. Or something else which I'm not sure about yet. So why on earth is Biology so low down the table? :P The English and languages part is okay, since I'm quite interested in it too, but never thought of majoring in it! Visual and Performing Arts look interesting, sounds like fun!

And why on earth is Business Management at 69%? I really despise that area of study! :P I can't believe they are higher than Biology or Chemistry. Noo...! The last six are very accurate though, the areas which I am least interested in at the moment.

Yep, least interested. Sorry... I already forgot about the idea of being a doctor/engineer or whatever some "high-end, prestigious and oh-my-salary-is-half-a-million-USD jobs" you guys can think up of that guys like me should do.

So kudos to the ... err... Quizmaster? Is it? :)

On the other hand, I just wait for life to tell the answer in like, oh, the next year or 2? Now, the main thing to worry about is O Levels. The whole thing's not that accurate though. :P

This morning's leadership orientation was fun! Met the juniors and I really like them. Hahaha, thanks for organising it! Enjoyed it loads!

Not Blogging...

This is a pretty bad way to rev up the blog after a long time of absence. Sorry (even though they are very long overdue). I think I lost my blogging spirit. I just can no longer blog anymore. I don't know why...

This is awfully bad.

Maybe it's time that I move on.

I don't know.

I'll give myself some time to recollect myself, and try to note the interesting happenings of my everyday life (which is virtually nil) which are blog worthy. If you don't see any updates from me after a long time, then, I hate to say this, but it's bye bye for me.

But don't worry, I won't be missing in action from the blogosphere. I still have you guys' blogs to read and they're really interesting! I sometimes wonder how some of you can manage to blog everyday! :O

For now, I'm taking a break from blogging. Hopefully, I will keep blogging! Till then, I look forward to see all of you in school and all the best in Form 5!

Ownage by KeKo

This is the conversation I had with Hang Kae Kwang (who I like to call KeKo).
