In times of boredom..

So....like....i've been staring into blank space for the past 10 minutes thinking of what to write here. Its 12 Am now but whatever, still early, lol. Guess I'll just write about how the holidays had been, seeing as there isn't much of anything else to write about. Lets see now..holidays began around..one and a half weeks ago? Ever since then its all been all fun and games, to the point that even those had become boring. Nothing interesting seems to happen anymore now. Such a sad life i lead o.o

Ah well, asides from those, during the course of the holiday, I've went and caught two movies, The Prestige and Open Season. First one was quite good actually. Bout magicians back in the 1900's, rivalry for domination as best, and the story drags on. Open Season was, so so. Standard movie, enjoyable, fills the criteria for E-rated and Comedy, nothing more. Could've been better if it had more depth and content though. Still fun nonetheless.

Life goes on as usual. Its been boring. I should get a job, rather than loafing around the house all day, mostly around the computer but thats not the point. Seems some of my friends had gone or are going to get jobs. Such hardworking people lol. But nahh, just gonna enjoy the rest of the holidays while i still can.

Hmm, gonna have to go to school on Weds, for some Computer Project classes of some sort, have to wake up early. Then the 4th and 6th for some school excursions. Wonder if I'll even be going.. I'll just worry about that some other time. Then theres the *party* for seniors, which i am supposedly in charge of along with Shim, and i feel like just cancelling it if i could, lazy to do it but whatever. Also theres the Prom/Senior's/Graduation night coming up towards the end of November, which is *supposedly* for seniors only. What's really gonna happen, i know not. Bought a ticket so i guess I'll be going. Let's hope I didn't just waste 35 dollars which could have been better spent elsewhere.

So far I'm still stuck in Brunei, with nowhere else to go. Only time I'll ever even possibly be leaving would have to be in December towards Christmas, but i could be wrong so who knows.

Well then, i think I've spent about an hour typing such a short passage, which most would probably just finish reading in 1-2 mins max. Sad case. And if not wrong, today is supposedly Halloween? So I'll just wish a Happy Halloween to all. I shall leave you all with this post. Longest one I've remembered ever typing out in a really long time, so hopefully i won't have to update anytime soon lol. Its nothing compared to most others but hey i do what i do. Until next time~

Smart Replies by a Naive Kid

Thanks so much to Luisa Jie Jie who forwarded me this awesome mail!

A first-grade teacher, Ms Neelam (Age 28 ) was having trouble with one of her students the teacher asked,"Boy what is your problem?"

Boy. answered, "I'm too smart for the first-grade.My sister is in the third-grade and I'm smarter than she is! I think I should be in the third-grade too!"

Ms Neelam had enough. She took boy to the principal's office.

While boy waited in the outer office, the teacher explained to the principal what the situation was. The principal
told Ms Neelam he would give the boy a test and if he failed to answer any of his questions he was to go back to the first-grade and behave. She agreed.

Boy was brought in and the conditions were explained to him and he agreed to take the test.

Principal: "What is 3 x 3?"

Boy.: "9".

Principal: "What is 6 x 6?"

Boy.: "36".

And so it went with every question the principal thought a third-grade should know. The principal looks at Ms Neelam and tells her, "I think boy can go to the third-grade."

Ms Neelam says to the principal, "I have some of my own questions. Can I ask him ?" The principal and boy, both agree.

Ms Neelam asks, "What does a cow have four of that I have only two of?

Boy... after a moment "Legs."

Ms Nee lam: "What is in your pants that you have but I do not have?"

Boy.: "Pockets."

Ms Neelam: What starts with a C and ends with a T, is hairy, oval, delicious and contains thin whitish liquid?

Boy.: Coconut

Ms Neelam: What goes in hard and pink then comes out soft and sticky?

The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer, boy was taking charge.

Boy.: Bubblegum

Ms Neelam: What does a man do standing up, a woman does sitting down and a dog does on three legs?

The principal's eyes open really wide and before he could stop the answer...

Boy.: Shake hands

Ms Neelam: Now I will ask some "Who am I" sort of questions, okay?

Boy.: Yep.

Ms Neelam: You stick your poles inside me. You tie me down to get me up. I get wet before you do.

Boy.: Tent

Ms Neelam: A finger goes in me. You fiddle with me when you're bored. The best man always has me first.

The Principal was looking restless, a bit tense and took one large Patiala Vodka peg.

Boy.: Wedding Ring

Ms Neelam: I come in many sizes. When I'm not well, I drip. When you blow me, you feel good.

Boy.: Nose

Ms Neelam: I have a stiff shaft. My tip penetrates. I come with a quiver.

Boy.: Arrow

Ms Neelam: What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' that means lot of heat and excitement?

Boy: Firetruck

Ms Neelam: What word starts with an 'F' and ends in 'K' & if u don’t get it u have to use your hand.

Boy.: Fork

Ms Neelam: What is it that all men have one of it's longer on some men than on others, the pope doesn't use his and a man gives it to his wife after they're married?

Boy.: Surname

Ms Neelam: What part of the man has no bone but has muscles, has lots of veins, like pumping, & is responsible for making love?

Boy.: Heart

The principal breathed a sigh of relief and said to the teacher: "Send this boy to College, I got the last ten questions wrong myself!"

Holiday Blog

I have just came back from Gadong after getting the Sims 2 CDs I lent to my brother's girlfriend's sister a long time ago. I didn't know my whole hard disk was going to get reformatted when a new motherboard was installed. Sigh~ It took me quite some time to restore back at least most of the programs and data that was originally stored in my PC.

I hope the whole installation of Sims 2 (base, University, Nightlife, Open for Business and Family Fun) goes well, but somehow I'm rather pessimistic about the outcome. Like just now, when I first went to her house, apparantly no one was home yet so I went to Jaya and buy bakery products. And my goodness, the whole Gadong was practically congested. Tip from me: Please save yourselves the trouble and don't go Gadong for this whole week. The traffic jam is insane I tell you. Unfortunately, it's the only shopping haven in Brunei (besides Bandar and Kiulap). I was sulking practically the whole time in the car.

I know, it's the festive season but I really cannot stand long traffic jam. It's a test of patience I tell you, and I failed miserably. And throngs of people flooded Jaya to do some last minute shopping :O (Reminds me of Christmas in Perth...). I saw a lady who bought like 5 cartons of soft drinks, and the salesman was helping to put all those cartons at the back of the car. Wow, so banyak leh!

After spending nearly an hour in the car and shopping, I went back to get the CDs. Somehow, intuition told me that something bad has happened to my CDs, and I can't believe it actually was true. Sheepishly, my brother's girlfriend's little sister told me that she lost my Sims 2 base CD. Naturally, being a Sims addict I am, I was fuming! Sheepishly, she gave me a "new" Sims 2 base DVD. I was shocked and terribly euphoric that she went the trouble to buy a replacement for me, so how can I scold her? *grin* Thank goodness she still has my Sims 2 University. Too bad she lost the manual though. Hai~ But I didn't care already because as long as the CDs are in my safe hands and the fact that she didn't really destroy it; that's more important!

Happily I went home. I didn't realise how fast time passed while inside the car on my way back home. The end? Not quite.

I had to do some serious installation which takes a while. And now, I'm in the midst of installing Sims 2 University as well as downloading Sims 2 - Family Fun Stuff Pack online with EA downloader, and it's going to take like 2 hours and 30 minutes! Goodness la =O. How to play like that?! So long! So I'm going to stay up late whole night just to enjoy playing Sims 2 while savouring the good graphics and cinematics =D that will be offered by this fantastic game. Play it!

I'm so going to get my hands on Glamour Life and Pets later. It's a must. I don't even need to add them to my Christmas wish list *snicker*. I simply must get them asap, but not now. I have to play until I get bored of the current game, then only will I get my hands on them.

Dear readers, I salute you if you have managed to endure your way through the very "Simsistical" paragraphs above. So do I always Sim all the time? No, of course not! Like they say, variety is the spice of life. So besides playing Sims, I also study for next year's GCE O Levels. Yea right! Ugh~

I'm going to abuse this 3 months of holidays by having an intimate relationship with computers and books. And probably TV. Let's see; besides Simming, I also go online and going to random forums as well as chatting. The list is endless. Oh, and Sims isn't the only game I play! I also play Civilization IV, a turn-based strategy game. It's okay I guess. I'm much more comfortable with this than Age of Empires III though.

The game is okay la. It's pretty good I'll say! But, I really suck at strategy games like these. -.-" My micromanagement skills border terrifying. It's ironic that I'm a pseudo-perfectionist and a very organised person. Lol! I'm even worse with real-time, my brain simply cannot quickly regurgitate and process whatever thing is going on at that split second. Oh, did I mention I panic too fast? And when I panic, my mind goes blank and I start to do silly things.

That's why strategy games are unsuitable to me. I've read some strategy guides for Civilization IV though, and I'm baffled at what they are trying to convey. In the end, I never even apply what I learn and resorted back to using my own methods. -.-"

I should get my bum off my chair once in a while and do some exercise to keep fit also. It's really unhealthy to use my computer all the time. Bad/Hazardous for health. The only exercise I do is walk to toilet/go down and eat. Sad, huh? But I can't help it. The attractions of my PC, how can anyone stand the sight of his/her PC beckoning the owner to come use it? Simply irresistable! But one of my main things I want to achieve this holidays is to keep fit, not add extra pounds to my belly. And I'm a terribly soft person. Cannot. Must be strong, or at least be fit la! Lol! Wish me luck!

So what have you guys been doing so far for your holidays?

Mine is pretty boring and uneventful. The games just add the spice to it. Without them, you'll already see me staying online like the whole day in MSN Messenger nudging a random person to chat with me. Hahaha!

Hmmm, the downloads are really taking a long time... I'm excited (I'm using EA Downloader)! Can't wait to play my Sims! Maybe I should stop here. I don't want to keep you guys reading this and wasting your precious holiday time over some really long blog. Sorry! And of course, have loads of fun! Because next year is going to be a really stressful one.

P.S. To fellow Muslims, Selamat Hari Raya/Happy Eid ul-Fitr!

P.S.S. Wow, I must be so desperate to pass time, I added links to like almost everything of interest!

Games I'm playing now:
The Sims 2 Civilization IV

[EDIT @ 8.47pm] Sims 2 have finally been installed. Now it's time for me to enjoy! Yahooo!!

And so it ends..

What seemed like the longest two weeks of my life had just ended. Maybe it really was or maybe it was just me, but it sure feels good to have that over and done with. Just got back and finished dinner, and now it is freedom for 3 months, sort of. Year sure passed by fast, seriously, but what the heck. Will find time to update the blog, if i feel like it. For now, Ill leave you with this. Laters.

Yea-hoo!

2 weeks of sheer agony... Gone! Kapiissh! Never again!

Gahahaha!

No more late night studies, or should I say cramming? And now, I'm free to do whatever I like. I shall jump for joy! Too bad I sent my PC for an upgrade, so I'm using my little brother's PC to blog. When my PC comes back, I shall indulge in Sims once again in higher quality, just like the good ol' times. I can barely wait.

And what should I do after that???

Oh man, another 3 months of holiday. Hahahha! Have fun "suffering" guys!

Whaddaya noe?

The whole day, I was waiting for 7.30 pm to watch "Read It and Weep" on Disney Channel. I was having my dinner when all of a sudden, a few minutes before the show there was a blackout at my simpang. Fear gripped me. I don't know why, but I really dislike total darkness and gobbled by the dark vast space. It's really scary okay. And my brother didn't help much either. He suddenly went hyperactive for no reason at all. It's like he enjoyed the darkness.

So yea, my maids managed to find a couple of torchlights here and there, and boy was I relieved. Fine, I'm a chicken. I have a really irrational phobia, but I can't help it. And that's why it's called "irrational".

After I managed to overcome some of my fear, I became furious! Because I just missed that show I so looked forward to after waiting and seeing the advertisements for about 3 weeks. My luck was played and twisted cruelly by this unexpected blackout. Arghh~

Without much choice, I begrudgingly read my Chemistry with a flashlight. It was...a unique studying experience I suppose. Then I talked to my brother about some random stuffs.

Guess what happened a few minutes past nine? The electricity came back on -.-". Sheesh, I can't believe my guess was SO accurate. Right after the show again! By that time, the people who watched that show would already grin widely and gave their thumbs up, and here I am typing this whole miserable thing out and not knowing what even happened.

Arghhh! So annoying! I'm off to studying more chemistry and vent out my anger on coming up with some nonsensical equations and formulae.

Hmm..

Random post. Bored. As most may know, tomorrow dawns the era of our dreaded end of year exams, one which i had barely revised on, but whatever. Gonna be a long two weeks, and an even longer holiday once its over. People stress on exams, once its over, they got nothing to do. Happens all the time. Just here to wish everyone taking the exams good luck, all the best, and i shall see everyone in form 5 next year, myself included, hopefully.

Right, almost forgot, today is supposed to be some mooncake festival day? Or something of the sort. No idea. Only knew cause im going out for dinner with relatives and such. Ah well. Have fun people, whoever celebrates.

Eve of Exams

Only a day left before the inevitable comes. The dreaded exams. A two week marathon and everything will be over! =D And am too distracted many a times by my computer, which leads to procrastination and the vicious cycle repeats everyday.

It's time to burn the midnight oil all right. But I can't because I would end up falling asleep!

Man, I'm too excited about the post-exams period. Get Sims 2: Pets and play all day plus some other plans that I have made, plus various school excursions. Can't wait la! But first, I need to focus.

Wish everyone lots and lots of luck in your End of Year Exams, and may all of us pass with flying colours.

Wish me luck!

I'm so studying very very hard from today onwards until the end of exams. Starting at this very precise moment. And to Alex, I will post up the requested blog when I take my break (which hopefully, won't be a few minutes later).

I shall start off with Computer. Wish me luck!

P.S. Previous blog deleted due to its whiny, angsty and depressing nature.
