Butterfly - Ultra Coolness
 

I want everyone to cease their thoughts of butterflies flying around wide sparse greenery with the sun shining brightly and the rainbow showing off its gay colours.

Today, I just realised that the butterfly is the most coolest and most awesome swimming stroke of all time. All this while, I have been trying to master its kick; only today did everything sink in. Sure, today I swam my very first "correct" butterfly stroke and to tell you the truth, it was seriously amazing doing it and even seeing my coach doing it.

That stroke has majesty, superiority and prowess!!!

I really like the way the body moves underwater in butterfly, it's like a fish, or is it more like a killer whale! Despite me feeling rather daunted at first with this stroke (I had some troubles trying to execute it), in the end when executed properly, man it's the bomb!

It makes me so powerful in water XD

Hopefully, we'll do more of that next week, and not some front crawl drills where you have to swim like 100m x 2/3 plus technique improvements. Sigh~ But at least today's was interesting ;)

Food!
 

The topic of the day is food! Now food is a seriously big thing that everyone needs, so much so it has been classified as one of man's biggest needs in life. Straight to the point, I just want to say that it has been quite a while since I actually enjoyed savouring the delicious taste of food and smelling their heavenly and intoxicating aroma.

Something is seriously wrong with me. How can one just not enjoy eating food? To me, it slowly became a monotony for me, everyday it's just basically the same thing. Stuffed chicken, chicken in honey sauce, pan fried fish, ginger fish, steamed fish, curry meat, vegetables, soup and all sorts of Chinese food(all cooked in Chinese style). Sounds pretty mouth-watering, isn't it? But then this is what I usually eat everyday!

I'm afraid that my taste buds which have gotten used to these luxurious taste just could not function properly anymore. In other words, food no longer gives me an ecstasy, but instead, just something that is to be tasted, know the taste, enjoy the taste and simply down it. I'm not trying to show off my riches here, or how my maid has became the chef of the house.

And I found out that I could not stand hunger pangs, even though I know the food is going to be served pretty soon. Like just now, I couldn't concentrate on my reading because my Dad has not came back from taking-away dim sums from Dynasty Restaurant. I was in a very grouchy mood and kept mumbling something unintelligible.

Finally the food came, and when my Dad called me for lunch, or brunch, I was terribly ecstatic and quickly ran down and immediately gobbled on my food. Ahh, finally the end to all ends of my hunger (imagines hunger bar going up). After me swallowing the food, my hunger was satisfied and I was full and content. Yet, something is missing...it's like as if I have overlooked something while eating.

I didn't really enjoy my food.

Yes, it was delicious and nicely cooked (in fact, most of my food I eat are pretty delicious) but it was more like I live to eat and I eat to live. I get hungry most of the time, but whenever I eat, I satisfy my hunger, yet it's like as if I've not actually eaten any yet!

Maybe it's partly due to my nature and maybe a chip of the old block. I share many similar qualities with my Mom, appearance and characteristics-wise. Somehow, I am a very rushed person. I take things too fast. Whenever I eat, instead of concentrating and enjoyed the fine tastes that food offer us, I am more like a glutton that wants to take in the tastes at once, register it in my brain and finally it goes down to my gut. I find it very hard to eat slowly and extract the different tastes both macro and micro from the food; it's very difficult for me, and it's also killing my patience.

That's why I usually eat 5 times a day (school day), breakfast, 9.45 am breakfast, lunch, tea, dinner. That's pretty a lot, and with the lack of exercise I'm getting these past few weeks, it's no wonder I gained so much weight! Now I'm upset with myself! I can't properly enjoy my food, therefore to compensate for that I eat fast, gobble in huge amounts and eat often just to experience the tastes. Even Thien Thien chicken rice and pizzas from Pizza Hut sort of failed to captivate me. (Gasp! I know; how could I?!)

Call me a glutton. For a rather average normal person I am, I can eat a lot.

Maybe I just need a variety. Even then, after eating all the different types of food, I would have eaten all and will eventually get bored with it. Like that would happen, I am not a very exciting person, and probably won't delve myself into savouring European food, or maybe Japanese food. o.O Hmmm...I guess I might need to be given a food ration, that way, I probably appreciate my food more.

It's really unfair that I'm complaining about the wonderful food that I've been serve, whereas there are still millions of children out there suffering from famine, starvation and food shortages. ARGHHHH!!! I really feel so guilty now...


I seriously need to slow down just simply enjoy and appreciate the food that I eat and ate. Maybe it will satisfy my hunger much more effectively! But I really could not do so, I just simply must eat fast. I need to make an appointment with a food therapist! Another thing, I also realised I have BAD TABLE ETIQUETTES. I eat like a sloppy gluttony pig! I wipe my mouth with my hands. I talk when my mouth is full. I hold my fork and spoon like a barbarian! (I'm serious, I'm not even exaggerating now) I will mess up my plate. Oh, and I sometimes hold and bite food using my hands, like chicken and prawns.

Goodness gracious, I made it sound like I'm a terrible eater. I hope that after you guys know this, you won't be turned off by it. But I highly doubt that. *chuckle* Tips on enjoying food anyone?

Hurrah to Pets!
 

Very Sims 2-oriented. You've been forewarned! (But to Alex, please read on?)

YAY! After so many weeks of waiting for news, simmers have finally been told of the great news! The new EP (expansion pack) is going to be titled The Sims 2: Pets! It features dogs, cats, birds etc. Damn, this is going to be so awesome! Can't wait to get hold of it later during the year.

Sigh, that wasn't very enthusiastic! Oh well, I still have to work on the Malay project draft, which I think has to be handed up tomorrow. I just don't know how to start or where to begin!And the topics are...no offense, quite boring la. But we've got no choice, it makes up 20% of 2nd Assessment Test.

I'm sorry if I do not blog much frequently, because there isn't really much to talk about (unless you guys want me to keep repeating the things that happen everyday!) The monotony of life! But I guess I shouldn't complain too much. Later it might get too exciting for me...

I'll just stop here. I blog whenever possible. Keep tagging people!

Hell Is Breaking Loose
 

And I mean that literally, because according to the Chinese calendar, today is the first day of the 7th month. That signifies the start of Ghost Month, where spirits are allowed out of hell/somewhere and take their vacation in earth for a month. So, be extra careful when you go out lol...

Anyway, here's a short Fwd: message I received from Luisa Jie Jie which gives an example of how to construct sentences from 1 - 10. A smart alec did it!

You might like it. This is hilarious.....even an Englishman could not construct sentences using numeric, which is exclusive only to Malaysians and Singaporeans. Ah Lek was asked to make a sentence using 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 9, 10. Not only did he do it 1 to 10, he did it again from 10 back to 1. This is what he came up with..... 1 day I go 2 climb a 3 outside a house to peep. But the couple saw me, so I panic and 4 down. The man rushed out and wanted to 5 with me. I ran until I fell 6 and threw up. So I go into 7-eleven and grabbed some 8 to throw at him. Then I took a 9 and try to stab at him. 10 goodness he run away. 10 I put the 9 back and pay for the 8 and left 7-eleven. Next day I called my boss and told him I was 6. He said 5, tomorrow also no need to come back 4 work. He also asked me to go climb a 3 and jump down. I don't understand. I am so nice 2 him but I don't know what he 1.

Drinking cold water after meal = Cancer !

For those who like to drink cold water, this article
is applicable to you. It is nice to have a cup of cold
drink after a meal. However, the cold water will
solidify the oily stuff that you have just consumed.
It will slow down the digestion. Once this "sludge"
reacted with the acid, it will break down and be
absorbed by the intestine faster than the solid food.
It will line the intestine. Very soon, this will turn
into fats and lead to cancer. It is best to drink hot
soup or warm water after a meal.

A Serious note about Heart Attacks

Women should know that not every heart attack symptom
is going to be the left arm hurting. Be aware of
intense pain in the jaw line. You may never have the

repeated about every two seconds without let-up until
help arrives, or until the heart is felt to be beating
normally again. Deep breaths get oxygen into the lungs
and coughing movements squeeze the heart and keep the
blood circulating The squeezing pressure on the heart
also helps it regain normal rhythm. In this way, heart
attack victims can get to a hospital. Tell as many
other people as possible about this.
It could save their lives!! "

Lethargy (Part 2)
 

So I came back from swimming classes hours ago. It's funny that after a strenous swim in pretty tired state, one feels high and active. It's really an irony. But I guess we have to thank endorphins for that, which is released into the blood when we exercise, giving us a natural high. Mwahahaha!

So anyway, just know during the 'greet-the-Sultan' session while waving the flag, I saw the Sultan, DRIVING HIS OWN CAR! AAAHHHH! That was like the coolest moments during the morning, and he drove pretty fast too! While driving he waved to us, and people around were screaming (yes, including me). It's really exciting to see the Sultan up close again!

The rest of the day was pretty uneventful though. We had to wait for a couple of hours before shaking hands with His Majesty. There was food (I ate some from the buffet at the PGGMB building), fireworks (can't see anything), students from Chung Hwa and SOAS, more students and friends! Basically I just hung around with a few people and talked rubbish. I also got the chance to write out the objectives for the computer project. But after reading through it, I realised it was very poorly drawn out.

It's kind of annoying though when the students were lining up to shake hands with His Majesty. Everyone was very restless, and because of the sweltering heat at midday, I was already having a hard time controlling my own temper and 'tried to arrange them neatly in rows'. But alas, there was limited space, and everyone was super hyper, so decided to just ignore the situation and went to a place and waited until the Sultan comes.

Boy, was His Majesty's hand soft and smooth! And the most magical moment came. Here's what happened:

Me: Happy Birthday, Your Majesty!
HM the Sultan: Thank you!

EEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE!!!!!

*faints*

My first words with the Sultan. Ahhh, what a memorable experience!

Okay, then the bad thing came, Sufinaz lost her flag stick which belonged to her brother's and was already upset that she had lost it. I tried to console her that it was okay, but she said that her brother's is not going to be happy to hear that. Sigh~ I tried to console her, but then...

Oh well, she got one extra flag stick from me (which Victor gave me as he didn't know who it belonged to), and I gladly gave it to her and hopefully it cheered her up for a minute (it didn't).

Hmmm...You know what? I was in a pretty grouchy mood this afternoon, and yet, when typing this out, I realised that how wonderful my day had actually seemed and my pessimism just hides that fact from me! Hehehe...

And today, something special happened. After seemingly a long time, the thick mist which shrouded a mystery that has been forgotten have finally dissipated revealing, a hidden pleasant surprise. I'm glad that it happened on this fateful day, and it cheered me up =D !

Lethargy...
 

Sigh~ I seriously should be in my bed now taking a catnap, but then, my computer emitted some weird electro-psychic powers that have mystified me and drew me to it o.O. Okay, never mind! Sorry if I have not been blogging consistently (I just realised I usually blog on Sundays!), but I have been either too tired, too busy or too lazy to do so! There's quite a lot of things to do nowadays, and I realised one very bad thing: the bigger my workpile the more I procrastinate. Yes, I know that I still have another computer project to deal with, but I'll do that later because right now my brain is shortcircuited (meaning it's not functioning well), and I'm tired! Swimming classes later... Grrr ... I seriously dread the long, tiring, boring drills!

Let me summarise my weekend, beginning on Friday. As you SAS people know, it was Talentine. And not surprisingly, I was put on duty along with the rest. Steven and I was supposed to do "door patrolling", which involves only one door that connects the stage to the kindergarten. Sigh, I just realised some of the performers are kind of "rude" or was it me snapping at them at the wrong time? Human traffic was high, redundantly higher. But hey, at least I get to enjoy the show while working!

But I didn't. Only some were good. The rest was... (complete it for those who went). There were a lot of technical difficulties as well especially with the microphones and music, I really don't know why and don't want to go into detail. But putting that aside, I still did not enjoy the show. The crowd was WAYYY too ballistic and crazy. The music especially towards the end was incessantly loud!

Saturday was fun as we had double Geography lessons during the first two periods. We get to go to the Conference Hall and view presentations of humidity, rainfall and wind. Hee hee hee! And Physics practical was fun as the 2nd shift people get to do 2 experiments! Yee-haw! And just know during the 'greet-the-Sultan' session (more on that later), Sufinaz invented a poem for Mr. Loh!

Awww, so sweet la! Only she meant it jokingly as before the practicals, the lab door was lock and out of boredom, she knocked the door while "expressing her love interests and enthusiasm towards Boyle's law!" >.< =D Okay, this morning the Form Ones and Fours went to the 'greet-the-Sultan' session, and we waited inpatiently for the 1) Sultan's arrival and 2) to shake with His Majesty's hands! I elaborate more on that later as I have to go swimming now.

Hi everyone! I'm feeling so tired today, most of my energy is drained away, leaving only enough for my cells to carry out metabolic activites (What the ****, too much Bi0logy!). Last night, we councillors have our annual dinner and a few teachers came and go at different times. Overall, the whole dinner was okay, food was so-so and then the events ... are just "okay-okay nia la".

Mostly, I danced around, sang, ate and played pool and we all have fashion pageants. Hehehe. I just found out that I'm a very bad dancer and singer =P. But it's okay, I still had some fun doing that. Just wondering why the supposedly more extroverted social animals aren't really doing much to lift the dinner to high spirits. I don't know, but I can feel that it's not as lively as it should be o.O.

I too lazy to blog more about the dinner; not really in the mood to do that. Anyway, moving on to starring taggers in this blog. Mwahahahahaha...

Later in the afternoon today, I got to go to school to take part in Pentathlon. Sigh~ I don't know what to expect. And I'm not a very athletic person (although I would like to be one lol), and to go against some other students seem pretty intimidating to me. Oh well, never mind la, I just give it my best shot.

Anyway, once again, let's put someone in the limelight, namely Michael! Starring, Michael!

Umm...
 

Okay, yesterday, I guess many of you knew what happened. Our class was bombed by Miss Jane due to excessive noise pollution during Physics lesson. Let's see, it all started with Mr. Loh who just wants a peace and quiet environment to teach, but since the class was getting noisy and his patience running thin (I think so), he wrote down names of people who disrupt the class. And, at that moment, Miss Jane was like passing the class and she was slowing down when she heard the noise. So, he made use of the oppurtunity and just hand the culprits list to her. And that was how it began.

The long lecture lasted for approximately one hour, and it was really scary. She came back during recess to lecture the class for being uncorporative and noisy as well as not providing a suitable environment for studying and stuffs (That's just basically what the whole lecture was all about, but somehow everything was elaborated and miscellaneous comments got added into her lecture). To the extend that she requested a spot check on all of our Science notebooks.

Oh well, I don't really have much comments about it la. I just keep it short and brief. You can just go around other people's blogs to obtain further details about it. Today, I don't think there is any change at all during Physics lessons, except it's more in under control. Oh well *shrugs*

I'm not really in the mood to blog much, but as I promised in my earlier posts, I shall put the site's taggers, Alex and Gary into the limelight.

Oh my gosh, didcha hear?!
 

Okay, so it was just an ordinary lunch with my brother, and somehow we were just chatting away until suddenly he randomly said, "Do you know so-and-so (name protected for privacy) is related to the royal family? That's what he told me!" and I was like, "Oh great! You're lying again!"

I wouldn't have believed him if he didn't give some proofs to support his statement. (Oh my, I think it sounded like he was debating >.<) So he said his friend told him that so-and-so lives in a palace in Jerudong when his dad was sending so-and-so home from somewhere la. Then he also mentioned that in order to go to so-and-so's house, you have to contact his mother SO THAT the security guard can open the gates for you :O!

Then, he also added that so-and-so is throwing a party at Empire Hotel sometime this year for my brother's whole class. Naturally I said "NOT FAIRRRRRR!" So filthy rich man this guy, can even afford to throw a bash at Empire. Unfairness to the society!

So I thought that either my brother was fibbing me, or his friend was fibbing him.

Another one: Another one of his classmates again, let's name him saw-and-saw (it rhymes with so-and-so ;) ). According to my brother again, which according to saw-and-saw, he said that he was realated to Prince Charles! This time, I was really FLABBERGASTED, because 1) my brother doesn't even know who is Prince Charles and doesn't bring that up as a topic of discussion and 2) it's just utterly ridiculous and coincidental! Seriously, it is a MAJOR coincidence that 2 of his friends are related to royals, one in Brunei and one in U.K. It's hard to believe what my brother had said.

He again has got a proof. Saw-and-saw showed him in his mobile a picture of Prince Charles looking directly at the mobile phone. I was like, erm okay? And my brother told me, "Maybe he lived in a palace?" and I said, "Nooooo! Probably in 10 Downing Street WAHAHAHA!!!" (In case you don't know, that's the residential address of Prince Charles, if I'm not mistaken la)


So you see, I have a really hard time believing what my brother had said. Perhaps he had been conned by his "royal friends" or he's simply rambling about things. I can't find the authenticity of his statements yet. It's too much of a coincidence that two royal-related people are in the same class. But they are bloody-rich la, at least I know one of them is. *shrugs*

Oh yes, because Diana has done it for me, I guess I have to follow suit. You all will know why later:

Random Rantings Revisited (RRR)
 

Okay, so my life nowadays is lacking the lustre. It's so ho-hum to the extend that silence is what describes it in this blog. I try to make it as interesting as possible without letting everyone slip into slumberland, so here goes!

Okay, as you all know it was, no correction, WERE, Parents' Days a couple of days ago. And we councillors have to "assist" during the two days. I don't think my jobs need a description, there isn't really much for me to say about it. On Saturday, my Mom and I had to see Mrs. Shafee as usual (it's a tradition, i.e. she does it every year ;) ) and I was late for the PTA! LOL, so busy doing my duty >.
As the week draws to an end, I find myself acting pretty lackadaisically. My guess is due to a flu. It has been really a while since I find myself, (or the flu finds me), getting entangled in a very bad flu. My nose was runny and full of watery icky yet clear jelly-like mucous (Ooops, sorry to ruin your appetite!), and I was needing a constant supply of tissue. My mom noticed this problem and she wanted me to take some medications (flu tablet, paracetamol, Vitamin C and countless other medications) just to cure my flu. No matter how much I resisted, she persisted, and I don't like it although I know she does it out of love. I just despise medications, they make me look like my life depended on them, which is not true, and I know how to take care of myself. Besides, it's just a flu, not some serious disease that might blossom into an epidemic and pandemic and what-nots!

I just hate medicines, that's all. I have no idea what sort of things they can do to my body. I don't trust them, seriously. In fact, I keep questioning about their efficiency. Blah...

Another reason for my lethargy is also due to sleep deprivation (I think I made it sound worse). I get more sleep than some of my fellow friends, yet I need more sleep. It's not sufficient, for me that is. I need roughly about 9 hours of sleep to function properly. Yea, you can call me a pig, or a naive kid, or Mama's boy if you are really nasty, but I really need that much. I can't help it. Maybe that's why my attention span is very very limited, and I can go pretty lazy after that. =P

Let's see... Today there isn't much going on in school, except the assembly ended with the presentation of some skit which was done last time by the LitFest members. It was funny, yea, but it wasn't as funny as last time's. And then during Geography class me and Sufinaz kept singing the What You've Been Looking For from High School Musical; so funny man!

Speaking of Geography class, do you guys know that Mrs. Fathima has already left SAS to Saudi Arabia? She's not going to teach us, or the school, anymore =(. So our new teacher is Mdm Karen Hu who was formerly from CHMS. She's very enthusiastic about the subject hahaha! Which is great =). And she's also funny as well. Haha, so cool!

Back to today, after school, I talked to some 4S2 people before Chemistry class. Anyway, the class was frivolous (I hate to say that) because we mostly went through the answers for the previous Quick Check questions that I had done already, so I didn't really pay much attention hehe ^.^".
